What is a Gift Registry? |
| A: A Gift Registry
is a gift wish list for Julia and I as we begin our new life together.
Our Registry is operated online, using Crate&Barrel's
Service. The Registry idea is very useful, it helps our family
and friends to know what we appreciate, and it prevents guests from
buying the same gifts for us.
Q: 什么是礼品登记?
A: 礼品登记是一张列表，里面包含我和Julia希望在我们的新家收到的礼物。我们的礼品登记可以在网上操作，通过Crate&Barrel's
Service. 礼品登记非常有助于我们的家人朋友了解我们喜欢收到什么样的礼物，并且防止客人买相同的礼物给我们。

I buy gifts on the Registry? |
| A: If you have a
US credit card, you can go ahead and make the purchase online.

I don't have a US credit card? |
| A: Please contact
my Registry coordinator Annie Wang (annie_wang@smics.com).
Just tell her which item(s) you wish to buy then she will help you
make the purchase and you can pay her separately.

will the gifts be shipped to? |
| A: If you are paying
online, please select "Ship to a different Address" and then select
"Liu and Huang" for shipping. The gifts will be shipped to my parents'
house in Los Angeles and they will bring some of the gifts over for
us.

give you "red envelops" as gifts? |
| A: Though we prefer
everyone to use the Gift Registry, we will still be glad to receive
monetary gifts. Julia and I have decided to offer all of our monetary
gifts to a charity organization International China Concern (ICC).
We will be making donations on our own as well.

| Q: What is
ICC and why did you pick them? |
| A: International
China Concern is a Christian charity established in 1994 to support
the Chinese Government in their care of the socially disadvantaged.
ICC acts as a bridge between China and overseas organizations and
individuals, channeling finances and people into joint venture projects.
We picked them because they are Christian charity organization recognized
by the Chinese government (very rare!) and we know people who have
worked with them before.
Q: 什么是 ICC? 为什么选择ICC ?
A: "关注中国国际机构"
是一个基督徒慈善机构，创办于 1994 年，支援中国政府对社会弱势人群的关爱。 ICC在中国和海外机构和个人中间充当者桥梁的角色，为合作计划引进资金和人才。我们选择他们是因为他们是为数不多的得到中国政府所许可的基督徒慈善机构之一并且我们认识与ICC有所合作的人员。
